Members come to the counter, pay by mobile money and borrow for their business. Akiba Ledger is designed for the teller, the loans officer and the manager, with controls between them.
The counter
Tellers take deposits and repayments, pay small withdrawals and balance their till at the end of the day. Larger withdrawals wait for a second officer.
The loan book in view
Arrears and portfolio at risk by officer every morning, and provisions on the regulation’s bands at each month end.
Once you are licensed
The regulator’s monthly and quarterly forms prepared from the books, with a calendar of due dates. Your licence number prints on receipts and returns only once you enter it.
Not in the first release
Several branches with their own books, USSD and agency banking. One office with several tills is.
